ZION'S COMMITMENT TO YOUTH

Children's Ministry

At Zion, we prioritize nurturing the spiritual growth of our young people. Every Sunday morning at 10:30 (during the school year) we offer engaging Sunday School classes tailored to all ages. Our youngest students, from preschool to middle school, kick off their learning with a lively group activity and uplifting songs. They then move to age-specific classrooms where they delve into fascinating Bible stories. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every individual at Zion hears the life-changing message of Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection each Sunday.

In the summer, we offer Vacation Bible School (VBS) for preschool through 6th grade. This exciting program includes Bible lessons, crafts, games, singing, and fellowship.

Senior High Ministry

Zion's Youth Ministry is dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for middle and high school students. On Sunday mornings, our senior high youth have the opportunity to explore the Word of God in greater depth.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of activities that foster fun, fellowship, Christian growth, and service. Our senior high students meet monthly for events, while middle schoolers are encouraged to join in on select activities. In 2024, a group of our youth had the opportunity to serve at Camp Shoshone in Idaho.

We are excited to announce that our plans for 2025 include attending the LCMS National Youth Gathering.

Confirmation at Zion: A Three-Year Journey of Faith

At Zion, we offer a comprehensive three-year confirmation program designed for students in grades 6-8. Throughout this journey, our youth deepen their understanding of the Bible and the catechism. They memorize scripture, explore the rich stories God has revealed through His Word, actively serve within the church community, and delve into the six chief parts of the catechism. Confirmation classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 PM during the school year.
